Smart School Bag

Chief Investigators

Helping kids with intellectual disabilities to pack their bags properly and ensure they are prepared for their daily activities.

The smart schoolbag is capable of completing its own morning checklist and sending content alerts by smartphone to students, parents and even teachers for missing, misplaced or extra items. The smart school bag uses radio frequency identification (RFID) technology in order to detect items in the bag and the Internet of Things (IOT) technology to check its contents against the daily school plan. This project aims to customise the bag for kids with intellectual disabilities to help users when they need medications and urgent equipment to support their social and personal activities.
